Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is Colorful Cocktail. A dress with personality and a suit with style! We would love for you to embrace a bold color or pattern. For ladies, we are describing cocktail attire as anywhere from above the knee, midi length or full length dresses with a nicer fabric (chiffon, silk, velvet, charmeuse, crepe, etc.) and for the gentlemen, a suit with a suit shirt and perhaps a tie. Please note that our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, and our reception will be held in a pavilion that can be heated in cooler temperatures.

How do I RSVP?

Once we send out our formal invitations, an RSVP page will be added to our wedding website. To RSVP, please click the RVSP tab and you will be directed to rsvpify.com to enter your name(s) listed on your invitation!

When should I RSVP by?

We will have our guests RSVP online through our wedding website. Please RSVP no later than April 1st, 2026 (04/01/2026). If you do not RSVP by the deadline, we will have to assume that you are unable to attend. Please let us know if you are having any issues RSVPing!

Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately, we can not accommodate additional guests, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as [your name] + [guest] if a plus one has been given to you.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. If you are driving to the wedding, we recommend you aim to arrive by 3:40 pm to ensure you are seated on time. If you are using our provided shuttle transportation, please arrive at our set pick up destinations (The De Soto Hotel or Best Western Galena) at the time specified on your invitations. We are still in the process of coordinating our day of timeline - but once we have a set schedule you will also be able to find shuttle information on our website.

Where should I park?

If you are not planning on using our provided shuttle transportation to and from the wedding, when arriving at our venue (8044 N Gabel Ln, Apple River, IL) you will be directed to signage to a large parking lot. Please be aware that to and from Galena to our venue is 30 minutes of drive time.

Are children invited?

We have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. We love our little ones but we are encouraging our guests to use this evening as a date night!

Is there an open bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you. Get ready to party!!!
