While they both have their own stories of minor previous encounters, Zoey and Jake officially crossed paths on what felt like a typical college night. Zoey and her friend Clara were on their way to a small birthday party down the hall when they passed Jake’s open dorm room and saw him working on a project and invited him to join.

And he did.

Between jokes, laughter and a few drinks, the night somehow ended with Zoey giving Jake a full manicure at that party. (Classic.) Neither of them knew it at the time, but those moments lit a spark that kept drawing them back to each other. And while it took a couple of months for their story to really begin (and their friends pushing them), once it did, they lit a bright fire that has been burning ever since.
